Rapid Problem Solving (RPS)

RPS (Rapid Problem Solving) is a way of how we deal with the day to day problems/issues. Some problems will be of recurring in nature. The recurring problem solutions are usually recorded and the problem analysis are stored in some central repository so that every one can have a look at them if the same problem appears again. Rapid Problem Solving involves carrying out an RCA (Root Cause Analysis). Usually the root cause analysis is done by asking the questions 'why?' five times.

Define what the problem that is seen is related to. The problems can be related to your quality, delivery, cost or the people. Categorizing the problems and putting the solutions in the corresponding category helps people find the solutions and follow more easily. Its common that a particular problem faced by a person or a team in an organization is likely that the same problem problem for other members or other teams. If a problem is already resolved and the solution is published in a place where everyone can go and see if the solution that he/she facing is already existing will save time. Rapid Problem Solving is all about a systematic approach to deal with the problem and more importantly record the solution.
